Youth Enrichment and Mentoring Programs
Community Solutions believes in providing the youth in our community the resources needed in order to fully reach their potential.
In partnership with our educational services affiliate, Community Solutions Educational Services Inc, our signature S.T.R.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering Arts and Math) enrichment and mentoring program focuses on equipping our youth with the skills necessary to be competitive in a 21st century global society.
Through strategic partnerships with local schools and other community partners, our enrichment and mentoring program provides:
After-school homework and tutoring services
Supplemental instruction in traditional S.T.E.M subjects via project based and experiential learning
Career exploration exercises to help students chart a pathway to their future careers
College-prep assistance including SAT/ACT test prep, college tours and financial planning for college (for parents)
A signature effort of Community Solutions is to annually provide FIVE (5) graduating seniors from one of the high schools within Community Solutions target service (Overbrook High and Sayre High)area a scholarship to assist with paying for their college/postsecondary education expenses. Parents of rising seniors of these schools are encouraged to have their children apply.
